Community Revitalization

The Community Revitalization Program addresses aesthetic and quality of life needs in rural Oklahoma communities, helping these communities thrive, grow and spark a sense of pride in citizens.  Community Revitalization can be used to accomplish economic revitalization, downtown revitalization, and neighborhood revitalization.  Grant Maximum $150,000.00 for Community Revitalization.

Eligible projects include, but are not limited to the following:

1. Sold Waste
2. Fire Protection
3. Streets
4. Senior Citizen Centers
5. Removal of Architectural Barriers Associated with Handicapped Access
6. Storm Water Drainage Improvements

Grant proposals must address how the project achieves at least one of the following national objectives:

1. Provide benefit to people earning low to moderate income
2. Aid in the prevention or elimination of slums or blight
3. Meet other community development needs having particular urgency, posing a serious or immediate threat to health or welfare of a community

Water-Wastewater Phase I and Phase II
Grant maximum $250,000.00 for each individual entity for both Phase I and Phase II.

Community Development Block Grant Water and Wastewater Phase I Engineering and Planning
The Water and Wastewater Engineer program was developed to fund water and wastewater projects that require more than one year to complete through a "phased approach". Phase I of the Water and Wastewater Engineering program will cover only engineering cost plus an appropriate amount of administration fee.  Once the applicant receives their construction permit, ODOC/OCD will issue an award for construction and Phase II of the project will begin.

Water and Wastewater Construction (Phase II)
The Water and Wastewater Construction program is to fund projects that are ready for construction.  The funds may be used for construction and administration only.  Eligible entities have used other funding sources to design their projects.
